Basic Hand Radio Operation

The Basic Hand Radio Operation class covers the use of hand held radios. There are a number of handheld radios on the market that allow the operator to communicate with others hundreds of miles away! These handheld radios are not reliant on outside power sources or cell sites which often go down during a disaster. You can communicate with first responders, the Coast Guard and even the police if needed.
